Alderman Fenwicks House Skylight

The grade I listed building located at 98-100 Pilgrim Street dates back to the 17th century has been home to Hunt Kidd since 2004.

Built during the late 1600's and located on two medieval burgage plots on the main London to Edinburgh route, Alderman Fenwick's House is considered one of the most important mercantile town houses in the North of England.

Following a period of vacancy the building was restored to its former glory in the late 1980's and subsequently won a full Civic Trust Award for the quality of the restoration.

Today, the elegant detailing inside and out reflects the style of the prosperous merchants, dynamic politicians and businesses that have lived and operated in the building throughout its colourful history.
